KFMC Announces Launch of New Product, SRA+™

Kansas Foundation for Medical Care (KFMC) announces the launch of their new product, SRA+TM, a web-based security risk assessment tool designed with small physician practices in mind. Because the information in health records is a common target of hackers and identity thieves, federal regulations require safeguards to protect it. SRA+TM makes it easy for users to comply with the HIPAA Security Rule, and to fulfill the annual assessment requirement for clinicians participating in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) MIPS and Promoting Interoperability programs. "We know that the staff in most small medical practices simply don’t have the time to study the Security Rule and develop their own format for conducting and documenting assessments and identifying and mitigating risks," said Kelly Stephens, KFMC Health IT Manager.

KFMC has been conducting health IT risk assessments for Kansas clinicians since 2011. As the federally designated Regional Extension Center (REC) for Health Information Technology, KFMC health IT consultants used an ever-evolving assessment tool to document their findings. They applied the many lessons and best practices learned to this new application. "SRA+TM will simplify the process for the busy practice manager. They no longer need to dread the task," said Stephens.

This new web-based program is now available as an annual subscription. KFMC’s mission is to improve the quality, effectiveness and safety of healthcare. In keeping with their not-for-profit status, the annual subscription cost is purposely kept as low as possible. For more information, visit us at https://sraplus.com.
