The Kansas Foundation for Medical Care (KFMC) is a member of the Great Plains Quality Innovation Network (GPQIN), the Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) for the states of Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. Our major contracts are with the Department of Health and Human Services - Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the State of Kansas, Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Division of Health Care Finance, and Kansas Department for Children and Families. We also contract with many private companies. Throughout the various contracts, our role is to work with healthcare providers to develop ways to improve the quality of healthcare provided to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries and ultimately all Kansas healthcare consumers.
